This course introduces students to foundational skills for success in graduate-level biomedical sciences education, with emphasis on self-assessment, goal setting, and study planning. Students will explore software tools and develop techniques to optimize time management, note-taking, studying, and test-taking, to support improved academic performance.
The course also emphasizes ethical behavior, responsibility, professionalism, inclusivity, effective communication, and conflict management strategies, including giving and receiving feedback. Through workshops and reflective activities, students strengthen self-management, teamwork, and accountability. Students are expected to engage in self-reflection and demonstrate responsiveness to feedback as part of their academic and professional development.
