Degree Programs

Rocky Vista University Montana College of Osteopathic Medicine will offer the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) starting in the 2023-2024 academic year. A degree in Master of Medical Sciences (MMS) is also expected to be offered.

Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine

Osteopathic physicians are distinguished by an emphasis on primary care and a tradition of caring for patients in underserved rural and urban areas. Osteopathic physicians respect the relationship between physical structure and organic function viewing the body as an interdependent unit, rather than an assortment of parts and systems. All medical and surgical specialties are represented within the osteopathic profession. However, the training of primary care physicians and the commitment to serve rural, minority, and underserved populations is characteristic of RVU-MCOM and the osteopathic profession.

Master of Medical Science

The Master of Medical Science program will be a one-year interdisciplinary course of instruction designed to prepare students for the rigors of medical school and other health professional schools.  Masters students will be immersed in the COM curriculum and taught by COM faculty
