Comprehensive Examination

The comprehensive final exam at the end of the program will include material from all courses in the program. A student must pass this exam with a 70% or higher to graduate. The comprehensive final exam grade will not be factored into the student’s overall GPA. If a student does not pass the comprehensive exam, they will meet with the Student Performance Committee (SPC) and the Program Director who will determine if remediation is an option. If remediation is offered, the content will be up to the discretion of individual course directors and the Program Director.

  • If a student needs to remediate coursework, they will take the Comprehensive Exam after the successful remediation of any outstanding courses. This will not affect their ability to participate in the MMS Commencement Ceremony, however it might delay the awarding of their diploma.
