MIL 5041: Military Medicine I

Military Medicine 5041 is the first of four foundational courses of the Military Medicine Program. It introduces topics such as the role and responsibilities of a military medical officer, military customs and courtesies, professionalism, ethics, leadership, military environments, disaster response, combat casualty care, and triage/evacuation in combat environments on land, sea and air. Military Expert guests, military officers, and appropriate civilian physicians and teachers will be hosted virtually and on campuses. In addition, special military training opportunities may be available with local and regional military units to RVU students. This course serves as the prerequisite for Mil Med 5042, Military Medicine II.
