Academic Standing

Good Academic Standing

A student is considered to be in good academic standing when they:

  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 70.0, both term and cumulative, as applicable;
  • Have successfully completed all required coursework to date, with no more than one outstanding course remediation permitted at any given time; and
  • Are meeting the published academic and progression requirements of the program.

A student’s official academic standing is determined by the Registrar’s Office, based on the student’s academic record and applicable institutional policies.

All students must have successfully completed all required academic coursework, including OMS III clinical clerkships, and be certified by the Dean (or designee) before being approved to sit for COMLEX‑USA Level 2 examinations.
